System restore in safe mode. I've never had to do it in safe mode so I don't know if anything happens differently, but give it a try. If all else fails reinstall windows.

Did you try it multiple times? It's worked for me before. You may have to just reinstall your os. Someone else on here probably has a better solution...

Euhm first can we get the name of that security tool thing.
Try googling the name.
Didn't someone else install it on the PC?
Usually if it is a legit program you can use them to lock anyone out from changing your PC. Only to work on it.
but yeah anyways check your PC and find the real name of that security tool thing and try and find the process to kill.

It is called 'Security Tools' and presents itself as an antivirus, and is downloading itself trought a backdoor in Internet Explorer if I remember correctly.

Security Tool Virus is a rogue anti-spyware program that’s distributed through websites that simulate virus scans. The user is than prompted to download the software to clean the infected PC. The tool provides false alerts of legitimate files that are needed by your Windows PC. Do not remove these files!!!
So human interaction was needed you all fail.
Anyways site dedicated to this crap.
http://www.securitytoolremoval.net/
Plox run this after you disabled the crap
http://www.stopzilla.com/download/STOPzilla_Setup.exe
That spyware is actually stupid. If it can just be disabled so quickly then wth was the point.
Anyways have fun. I would recommend booting in safe mode from the start.
Also if renaming doesnt do the following.
Find Windows CD place it in to PC. Boot the Windows CD go to repair console. Enter the number of your OS prolly gonna be 1.
Enter an admin account.
Go to the documents location they mention in the video.
like so
C:\Users\Ikke>cd c:\documents and settings\All users\application data\numbers\
tehn
c:\documents and settings\All users\application data\numbers> rename numbers.exe ihatethiscrap.exe
done boot windows by typing exit or reboot
Anyways enough guides how to use cmd :) just look things up.
After that watch the guides what you all have to delete to get rid of it completly

I installed it on a few peoples PC and they went crazy.
Its pretty easy to remove anyways without leaving permanent damage to the PC.
